Hey there, I’m Sahil.

I‘m curious in all senses of the word. I always have been. This curiosity sparked an interest in international travel at a young age. A semester in Sevilla & summer working with Outback Steakhouse in Asia lit the flame of yonderlust, and I’ve been galavanting across the world in search of new experiences ever since.

At the moment, when I’m not wandering the world, I can most likely be found in Brooklyn, NY. Bouncing around ideas and trading tales get my juices flowing, and I light up when forming friendships or connecting like-minded folks. I’m in my comfort zone when I’m stepping outside of it, and I thrive off the energy from the people and places around me. I also love spontaneous dance parties, and have been known to shake my boogie every once in a while. 

I’ve been fortunate to lead a life filled with unforeseen adventures, transformative travel, and amazing people. I am on a personal quest for knowledge and understanding, and get equal parts excited and overwhelmed by the seemingly endless possibilities our world has to offer. An idealist and a dreamer, I firmly believe that passionate people with a vision can make the world an even better place, and I hope to one day make a positive mark of my own. 

Travel Background

In 2011, I had a whirlwind 8 months in which an unexpected combination of studying, working, and traveling abroad led me to unforgettable adventures across 4 continents and 15 countries. Since that point, I’ve been unable to stop travelling, and have visited 25+ countries so far.

While abroad, I had all sorts of unconventional experiences. I became a chef in the Philippines, introduced ultimate frisbee to Kenyan students, Climbed Mt.Vesuvius, stumbled into a jump-off with Maasai Tribal Leaders, made International Headlines after getting chased around Naples (Long Story), swam with elephants, kissed giraffes, and much more!

After returning from my trip, I realized that the variety of experiences, cultures, and individuals I interacted with had impacted me in profound ways, and completely reshaped my perspective on the world. I learned new skills, formed lasting friendships, created unforgettable memories, and developed an affinity for travel and exploration.

Through this blog, I hope to chronicle my adventures in a journal-esque fashion, while sharing the wonders of travel with the world with those who follow along. Aside from recording my memories, If I’m able to inspire a person or two to go off on an adventure of their own, I’ll consider the blog a success.
